Calypso Cay Resort Adds Mobile Adventure Park Elements

Calypso Cay Resort in Kissimmee, Fla., is getting into the adventure park game with a rock wall, ropes course, air jump, “Balloon Battles,” and a 300-foot-long zip line that runs directly through a stand of trees on the property. Unique to the park, all of the elements are mobile, allowing the resort operator to raise, lower, and relocate every activity. Extreme Engineering did the installation.

Extreme sales account manager Kris Benken said the challenge was to fit all of the elements into a little less of an acre of space. “Extreme Engineering’s role was to adequately place all of these features in an adventure park format to capture the attention [of guests]and ease of operations on the resorts attendants,” he said.

Jeff Wilson, CEO of Extreme Engineering, says, “Every product is customized and themed to allow [Calypso Cay Resort operator’s] creativity to shine while their guests write their own adventure.”
