Aerial Adventure Academy Monitor Training


Aerial Adventure Academy will be offering a certification course in three different locations for aerial adventure trainers. The Monitor Trainer (MT) course is designed for experienced aerial staff and supervisors who will be responsible for training employees at the adventure course where they work.

The company explains the importance of the course on its website, in part saying: “As adventure courses become ever more popular in North America, the industry must remain proactive in developing advanced training systems to maximize safety and minimize the possibility of injuries before they happen.”

Requirements to participate:

  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • hold a current certification as a Monitor Level 2 (M2) or have equivalent high ropes course experience
  • have a minimum of two years and 800 hours of professional experience as a certified M2, or have equivalent high ropes course experience
  • possess the ability to train and assess others in categories M1-M2
  • commit to at least eight hours of continuing education annually to maintain the MT designation

Jan. 10-13, 2017         The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium in Virginia Beach, Va.

April 25-28, 2017        Castle Rock Zip Line Tours in Castle Rock, Colo.

July 11-14, 2017          The Adventure Park at the Discover Museum in Bridgeport, Conn.
