The Nashville Zoo will be opening its new “Soaring Eagle” zip line ride on March 18. Manufactured by Soaring Eagle Zipline Inc., the two-seater “thrill ride adventure” will lift riders 110 feet in the air, bringing them several hundred yards back before releasing the seat for a ride back to the starting point at speeds up to 28 mph.

Riders will be able to view the zoo and the inhabitants of the African Savannah, Historic Home, Festival Field, and Gibbon Islands exhibits as they fly overhead.

Nashville Zoo president Rick Schwartz said “Soaring Eagle is the latest design of zip line rides and unlike anything else in Nashville.”

Tickets will cost $8 per rider.
