Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut has unveiled formal plans to add a zip line to its all-inclusive resort. The HighFlyer Zipline is the first phase of a long-term development plan to provide guests with outdoor adventure experiences.

The HighFlyer will be a 33-story-high zip reaching nearly a mile in length. Participants will reach speeds of up to 60mph while zipping from the top of Fox Tower to the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center. Developed by Redwood Parks Company, the attraction is scheduled to open sometime this summer.

“This is just the beginning of a much bigger strategic expansion that will offer guests exclusive and unforgettable experiences in one place,” said Felix Rappaport, president and chief executive officer of Foxwoods.

“The addition of the Foxwoods HighFlyer Zipline is the next step in our master plan to become a fully-integrated resort destination,” says Jason Guyot, president of resort operations and development. This new development initiative comes as Foxwoods celebrates its 25th anniversary.
