TIMBALAYA
A new themed family entertainment that transports children of all ages to a place of exploration made its debut at the recent IAAPA show. Timbalaya is a story-based immersive experience whose values are centered around being playful and imaginative. The attraction brings the children’s book series to life with distinctive features that draw guests in: treetops view from Spangle Stargazer’s Observatory, placing a wish at the Wishing Tree, solving riddles around the park, or water play in the Midmost Lake. There are structures to climb up, through, and over, areas of water, forests, towers, castles, and mazes. Designed for families with children under 11 years old, each attraction is also accessible for those with disabilities. Every Timbalaya will be unique. No two venues can be the same; each individual landscape will determine the design.
Launched as a franchise/licensing opportunity, Timbalaya will require an initial operator investment of roughly $5 million. Available to operators as a turnkey solution or design and build, it can be ready to open by 2017. timbalaya.com
