On Friday, May 19, officials from the Niagara Parks Commission, WildPlay Niagara Falls, and the City of Niagara Falls gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the WildPlay Whirlpool Adventure Course. The pole-based course is situated right near the edge of the Niagara Falls Basin.
“I’m excited to welcome the Whirlpool Adventure Course to Niagara—a thrilling new attraction that will give people yet another reason to visit this beautiful area,” said Eleanor McMahon, Ontario Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport. “This year, we’re celebrating Ontario’s 150th anniversary and innovative attractions like this one are part of what make this province such a great place for visitors and residents alike.”
The attraction features 64 aerial obstacles and 16 zip lines spread across three courses: kids, classic, and extreme. Additionally, visitors can take the leap off a 40-foot freefall called “What’s to Fear?”
