Go Outside on Black Friday

go-ape-330REI is shaking up Black Friday by closing its stores and telling its co-op members and customers to #OptOutside. Operators are taking advantage of the momentum created by the retail giant and encouraging families to join them in the great outdoors.

Go Ape, a challenge course and zip line operator with courses in a dozen states, has declared Black Friday #FamilyFriday. They will open their courses for free to kids under the age of 15 when accompanied by an adult.

“It’s time we reset our values on this day,” said Dan D’Agostino, Go Ape USA managing director. “We applaud REI’s #OptOutside and we encourage everyone to spend the day with the loved ones and enjoy nature, whether it’s hiking your favorite local trail, ice skating, or biking.”
