Dropping In at Glenwood Caverns

0

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park has added a new attraction to its lineup. The Haunted Mine Drop has already been chosen as one of the nation’s most anticipated rides by USA Today. Similar to the Tower of Terror, the Haunted Mine Drop drops participants 110 feet down into Iron Mountain.

The ride, themed to look like an old mine building, is located at the top of Iron Mountain at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Guests arrive at the top via scenic gondola ride and make their way onto Mine Drop, where they are seated, strapped in, and entertained until the floor, literally, falls out from beneath them.

Opened as an adventure park in 2003, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park has a variety of rides and activities including an Alpine Coaster, Soaring Eagle Zip Ride, Giant Canyon Swing, and the highest elevation roller coaster in North America.
