Edge Adventures has opened a new operation, its third, adding aerial adventure to other activities in the 800-acre Deep River Park in Crown Point, Ind., outside Chicago. Deep River Park is a county facility with hiking and biking trails, a waterpark, and an historic grist mill. The new aerial park will be located near the waterpark.

The Deep River Aerial Adventure Park uses a continuous belay system and features more than 50 treetop obstacles and zip lines located 16-60 feet in the air. The new park is also home to the company’s first kids’ park for children ages 4-7.

“There are several different levels of challenges and heights. You do a self-guided adventure at your own pace, and then, can have the option to advance within the experience to another level,” explained Steve Doniger, the owner/manager of Edge Adventures. “One thing we’ve learned along the way is that we have a lot of little kids who want to play. This park will have a new ground option for them, along with options for every age who can do this type of activity.”
