Arai Ski Resort, located in the Niigata Prefecture of Japan, has been busy. The resort, which re-opened in December 2017 with five ski lifts, has expanded to offer an aerial adventure park and zip line.

The tree-based aerial adventure course features 102 elements. Designed by Japan’s Saido Landscape Design and built by Tandem Corporation, the installation features eight different courses at varying levels of difficulty. Three of the courses, including the children’s course, and one zip line are equipped with the Saferoller Continuous Belay System, and the remaining five courses are equipped with a self-belay system.

The resort is also home to a ZipRider zip line. The single-span dual zip line is 4,925 feet in length and features an average grade of 16 percent. Designed by ZipRider/ZipTour and installed by Nippon Cable, the tour features the ZipTour trolley, which allows participants to control their own speed while riding.

The resort has also installed a year-round tubing operation, bouldering and climbing walls, and trampoline park.
