On June 13, a 19-year-old female employee was injured while working at Palo Duro Canyon Zipline Adventure Park in Canyon, Texas. According to the owner, the employee was not strapped in and fell approximately 12 feet from a platform to the ground after reaching for a rider, although other reports estimate the fall was eight to nine feet. The owner indicated that the employee was not following proper procedure.
The employee was transported by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
