Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Wildwood, Mo., is applying for a permit to construct a zip tour. The attraction is part of a larger goal to leverage underutilized capacity at the traditionally winter resort in spring, summer, and fall. If permits are granted, the company hopes to begin construction in the fall with a completion date set for summer of 2018.
The tour will include four tandem zip lines with a maximum height of 150 to 170 feet off the ground. It is expected to last about 90 minutes, and the company said it anticipates average visitation of 150 people per day. The project is expected to cost approximately $2.5 million.
