A man trapped on a zip line in Nocatee, Fla., had to be rescued by St. Johns County Fire Rescue personnel Saturday morning.
The man, an employee at Nocatee Splash Water Park Zip Line, was dangling approximately halfway across the 377-foot zip line, necessitating the call to special operations rope rescue technicians within the fire and rescue department. Rescuers say his equipment became entangled, leaving him hanging 40-50 feet above the ground.
A “pick-off” operation was performed to lower the man to the ground.
