Wiegand Sports GmbH has a busy summer ahead with several new installations planned across the United States.

A new alpine coaster is currently under construction at Cool River Tubing in Helen, Ga. The installation will have nearly 3,200 feet of track, with approximately 980 feet of uphill track and 2,210 feet of downhill track including straight sections, curves, and bows. The coaster is due to open in summer 2018.

In Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Wiegand will be installing a Mountain Coaster Tour at Rocky Top complete with four uphill tracks, allowing the coaster tour to take advantage of what the natural terrain has to offer. The four tracks will be outfitted with a Lifter system for uphill transportation. The installation will have approximately 3,700 feet of track and 1,910 feet of uphill track to bring participants to the top. The coaster tour is scheduled to open in late summer 2018.

Additionally, Wiegand will be updating three installations with the Advanced Intelligent Design Control Assist system. The upgrades will be installed on coasters for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in Haiti, Mountain Creek Resort in New Jersey, and Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts.
