Aerial Adventure Academy will offer several training events at The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium in January and April 2024.
A Monitor Trainer Refresher Course is scheduled for Jan. 15 and again on April 15. The one-day course offers recertification for monitor trainers and provides the soft skills that prepare one to continue to effectively train employees and officially designate the M1 & M2 positions. Cost is $365 and includes one day of training and testing.
Beginning on Jan. 16 and again on April 16, a four-day Train the Trainer course will focus on soft skills that prepare participants to be able to train their employees at different monitor levels and officially designate the M1 & M2 positions. Individuals who pass all qualification requirements will be awarded an MT (monitor trainer) designation.
This course is designed for qualified staff and supervisors that will be responsible for training of employees—it will not teach equipment usage. A list of prerequisites is available on the Aerial Adventure Academy website at the URL below. Cost is $1,060, which includes four days of training and testing.
Participants for both courses are required to come to class with the current ANSI/ACCT Challenge Courses & Canopy/Zip Line Standards. Find more information at aerialadventureacademy.org/trainings.
