Synergo’s Redwood Sky Walk Receives Engineering Award

0

The Redwood Sky Walk at the Sequoia Park Zoo in Eureka, Calif., received the Small Projects 2023 award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Oregon. At just under a ¼ of a mile (out and back) in length, the self-guided, ADA-accessible Sky Walk is set 100 feet above the forest floor. It allows guests to view the canopy, old-growth trees, and mature second-growth redwood trees in a way not possible previously.

Synergo is responsible for the design and construction of the sky walk, though it was its engineering partner, Miller Consulting Engineers (MCE), that submitted the design for the award. Read more about the Sky Walk here.

In addition to the award, the Sky Walk also made the Architectural Digest list of the 11 Most Beautiful Elevated Walkways Through Nature.
