PRCA 2021 Conference Going Hybrid

0

Update: As of February 14, the organizers of the PRCA Annual Conference made the decision to eliminate the virtual offerings and instead offer the conference in-person only. In a statement, the PRCA shared, “We are reminded that we are an experiential education industry and that we work with our hands, personal interactions, and learning by doing. We support the feedback of our membership and are making adjustments to meet their requests.”

The 2021 Professional Ropes Course Association (PRCA) Annual Conference will be held Feb. 25-28, 2021 at the Lake Aurora Christian Camp & Retreat Center in Lake Wales, Fla., and also online. It will be a hybrid event this year, with both virtual and in-person offerings.

The hybrid model was developed “to address the needs of those who still desire in-person learning and interaction, along with those who may not be able to travel or simply choose not to do so,” the PRCA board shared in a statement about the event.

Workshops will include Qualified Instructors Certification workshop, in addition to workshops covering topics such as insurance and liability, ANSI standards review process Q&A session, discussions on service animals and special needs groups and training, drone use, and more. PRCA will also host its annual public board meeting and public membership meeting at the event.

Members and non-members are invited to attend the conference. Special hotel rates are available for in-person attendees. For more information on the conference and certification workshops as well as virtual and in-person registration, visit www.prcainfo.org.
