Phase 1 of construction on a new aerial park has begun in Mercer County Park, just across from the Festival Grounds, in West Windsor, N.J. The park is being built by Capela Construction Inc. Mercer County Park superintendent Anthony Cucci said it is on track to open in July.

The aerial park is designed for a variety of difficulty levels, serving children and adults. It features bridges, rope elements, climbing obstacles, and zip lines. The operating schedule and fee structure will be determined in consultation with the course operator.

The county hopes the new aerial attraction will increase visitation at the park. The county “is constantly looking for ways to attract new users to our park system and stay on the cutting edge of outdoor recreation offerings,” said Brian M. Hughes, Mercer County executive. “I’m confident it will be well received and be another economic generator in our long list of active recreation amenities.”

The course will be available for private events when it is not open for public use.
