Get Ready for the Upcoming Season

Adventure Park Insider—Boulder, Colo., April 16, 2025—Wonder if your aerial adventure or experiential program is really prepared to ramp up for the coming season? There’s a Zoom call to help answer that on April 24 at 9 a.m. MST. It’s hosted by ACCT International’s newly-formed Course Managers Affinity Group. The group encourages people in management roles at aerial adventures of all types to take part, from zip lines and tours to commercial adventure parks and educational ropes courses and beyond.

Topics for this one hour meet-up will include staffing, site prep, pre-season frustrations, and more. The group plans to do a brief overview at the beginning of the call and then break out into separate rooms for more specific conversations.

“Come gather, discuss with other managers what’s on their plate as we ramp up for another great summer season,” affinity group chair Kristina Riggs wrote on Facebook. Riggs is instructor of adventure/experiential based learning at the United States Air Force Academy.

Course Managers Affinity Group

The Zoom call is also a good opportunity to learn more about the new affinity group itself. The group, which will meet quarterly, has been formed to address the broad range of tasks and challenges course managers face. The spectrum spans from course operations to staff management, and dealing with challenging situations with participants, staff, community, and even media, according to the group’s LinkedIn profile (find it here).

“Many of us work tirelessly to ensure a great experience for our participants and community while also supporting our staff for best working environments and growth,” the LinkedIn profile says. “This group has been put together to provide a space for managers (at all levels) to connect, share best practices, and discuss the challenges we face.”
