Adventure Park Insider—North Adams, Mass., Sept. 12, 2024—DEI Outdoors is offering new dates for its Practitioner Course, a six-week program aimed at helping outdoor industry professionals incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles into their work. The course runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 26 and offers live session options on Wednesday evenings or Friday mornings.
Participants can attend sessions either on:
- Wednesday evenings: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET, starting Sept. 18, 2024.
- Friday mornings: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, starting Sept. 20, 2024.
The course includes live Zoom sessions as well as self-paced modules, allowing flexibility for participants to engage with the content at their own pace. Optional office hours are also available for further support.
Course topics focus on practical strategies for fostering social justice, leading DEI discussions, and making outdoor education and recreation more inclusive. Upon completion, participants will receive a DEI certificate.
