Adventure Park Insider—Troy, Ala., Sept. 24, 2025—Butter and Egg Adventures, a 48-acre outdoor adventure park and retreat center, will transition to second-generation family ownership on Jan. 1, 2026.

Founders Ron and Susan Pierce, who opened the Troy, Ala., facility in 2001 after careers at Troy University, will hand operations to their daughter, Natalie Carnley, and son-in-law, Gatlin Carnley.

“It has been a joy and a privilege to have met so many wonderful guests over the years and watch this 48-acre facility come alive,” the Pierces said in a joint statement. “We know Butter and Egg Adventures is in the best of hands with Natalie and Gatlin.”

The Carnleys were recognized in 2023 as Adventure Park Insider Rising Stars. Natalie previously served as operations manager and Gatlin as site manager of Butter and Egg.

The Carnleys said they are committed to preserving the family-run spirit of the business while pursuing new opportunities for growth. “We are honored to carry forward what Ron and Susan have built,” they added.

Butter and Egg Adventures includes zip lines, aerial courses, climbing walls, laser tag, canoeing, and team-building programs. It also offers overnight lodging, meeting facilities, and catering for groups ranging from school field trips to corporate retreats.
