The Appalachian Aerial Symposium, hosted by West Virginia University (WVU) and Adventure WV, will be held March 21-22, 2018 at the West Virginia University Outdoor Education Center outside Morgantown, W.Va. The event is regionally focused, but organizers stress that is open to all current and aspiring industry professionals.
The event was created to bring local vendors, operators, and regulators together to discuss the industry and its direction going forward. Attendees will network with other industry professionals in the Appalachian region and have the opportunity to attend sessions geared toward aerial adventure management, facilitation, training, and regulation.
The symposium will be held in conjunction with the Association for Experiential Education (AEE) Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, which will be taking place March 23-25, also at the WVU Outdoor Education Center.
