As part of a recent expansion, TradeWinds Island Resorts in Saint Petersburg, Fla., unveiled the Zing Ray Zip, a three-story-tall dual zip line that takes guests soaring above the beach. It’s the first St. Pete beach resort with a zip line attraction. Guests of the resort get unlimited rides on the Zing Ray Zip.
The resort also opened a new beachside Mexican restaurant to complement the completion of 141 newly renovated rooms.
“We’re always striving to improve and expand our product to keep it exciting, fresh and memorable for our new and returning guests, which is exactly what we’ve done with the addition of our gorgeous new rooms and the zip line on the beach,” said Bob LaCasse, managing director for TradeWinds Island Resorts.
In other expansion news, the resort’s Floating Water Park is getting a new water slide, catapult swing, and “monkey bar apparatus,” according to a report from I Love the Burg. Also coming to the beach this summer will be the Aqua-Bana 10-person covered floating cabana.
