The Firefly Zipline Returns to Melbourne

0

The Firefly Zipline, a pop-up dual zipline experience, will return to Melbourne, Australia, after a successful sell-out season in 2021. The Firefly Zipline is the state of Victoria’s first and only urban zipline.

The founder of Firefly Zipline had envisioned this experience in Melbourne for more than a decade. After teaming up with the Melbourne City Council, it became reality in 2021.

The dual zipline takes riders from Federation Square, over the Yarra River, and into Alexandra Gardens for a total distance of 426 meters, reaching speeds up to 25 mph. In addition to the zipline, participants can also experience a 39-foot, fully-harnessed free fall, which is a new attraction this year.

Firefly Zipline strives to maximize accessibility and plans to have sessions in January for anyone unable to ascend or descend stairs.

The zipline and freefall experience are set to open for the Australia summer season, Dec. 16-Jan. 28. Booking information can be found at fireflyzipline.com.
