Petzl has discovered ropes can be mounted incorrectly in the rope adjuster of certain GRILLON products, preventing the products from successfully performing their blocking function, which can result in a risk of injury. Therefore, Petzl has requested that vendors and customers stop sales and use of GRILLON products manufactured between October and December of 2023.

According to Petzl, eight affected products have been detected in a single manufacturing batch, and no injuries have been reported.
