Located in the Santa Ynez Valley of California, the new Highline Adventures has opened with the state’s longest zip line, at 3,360 feet. With two additional zip lines on the company’s new zip tour, guests soar for a total of 7,500 feet, reaching a maximum height of 400 feet above the ground and speeds in excess of 50 mph.
The full tour starts with ground school before guests load up in a 4×4 for a scenic ride to the top of the ranch property to begin their journey down the zip lines. The tour accommodates eight guests at a time and takes approximately two hours to complete.
The zip line tour is the first attraction to open at Highline Adventures, which also plans to open an adventure park course featuring a double-clip Via Ferrata style-harness system with ladders, rope bridges, and other treetop obstacles. The course has been designed to be challenging and safe for all ages, according to Highline Adventures’ website.
In addition to the zip tour and adventure park course, Highline Adventures also has plans for a protea (evergreen shrub) tour, in which guests will learn about the prehistoric flowers of the Santa Ynez Valley.
