ACCT Virtual Inspector Certification Testing Set for July 25

Adventure Park Insider—Boulder, Colo., June 20, 2024—ACCT Inspector Certification tests, for both in-house and professional inspectors, will take place virtually on July 25. ACCT Certification is recognized and accepted by numerous agencies and Authorities Having Jurisdiction worldwide.

“This is a great opportunity to join the Inspector Certification program or renew your certification before fall,” ACCT said in a statement. Applications are due by June 28.

ACCT offers two tracks for the Inspector Certification program:

  • In-House Inspectors are those individuals who provide pre-use, periodic, and site-specific inspections for the company they are employed through.
  • Professional Inspectors are those individuals who work for a company that provides professional, annual, and acceptance inspections.

The prep courses (dates TBD) and exams are based on the knowledge and experience inspectors are expected to have based on the eligibility requirements of the two certification levels. The Inspector Certification Prep Course does not teach how to be an inspector but ensures that applicants are exposed to information relating to ACCT Standards they may not have received previously. The prep course can help fortify and refresh knowledge applicants should already possess. And of course, the course does not guarantee a passing score on the exams.

For a virtual testing event, ACCT uses a few different platforms: Zoom, Kahoot, Blue Sky LMS, and SurveyMonkey. There is no need to download any apps or special software, but applicants should have a computer with functioning web camera and speaker.

Note: These certifications will not supersede any state or provincial law that requires third-party independent inspection, insurance requirements for such, or any de facto standard (for example, ISO that requires additional duties be performed or documented by the inspection body).
