Approximately 1,000 adventure park and challenge course operators, builders, and suppliers gathered at Renaissance Indian Wells, Calif., Feb. 5-8 for the Association for Challenge Course Technology  (ACCT) Conference and Exposition. The program included an extensive range of workshops and demos, along with an expanding exposition that showcased the increasing number of products aimed especially at commercial adventure park operators.

Deep-dive all-day pre-conference sessions on the art of facilitation, social media, aerial adventure park trends and best practices as well as growth strategies for commercial operations kicked off the event for many. The main workshop schedule ranged from specific issues, such as the care and handling of harnesses and tree care, to broader topics, such as the current state of the ACCT operational standards.

The exhibit hall showcased a variety of new products, including a growing number of smart belay and continuous belay solutions. Adventure Park Insider will be reporting on some of the more noteworthy new products in the coming months.

During the closing ceremonies and awards presentations, the Critical Link Award went to Keith Jacobs for his above-and-beyond contributions to ACCT. ACCT also welcomed new board members Michelle Hepler, Don Stock, and Scott Andrews.

Adventure Park Insider enjoyed seeing familiar faces and making many new acquaintances. We have documented the gathering in the picture gallery above. Have a look!.
